Last year I wrote about my first experience with the FP4 Party, a celebration of Ilford FP4 in all its guises and sizes. After really enjoying the last party just prior to England locking down it was super important to me to join in this time around. To bracket the darkest days of a generation with something so enjoyable was a treat and considering the pandemic is still wreaking destruction around the world, a privilege.
Many of my shots were taken in one woodland, King’s Wood, near Challock (to rhyme with bollock) in Kent, England. The rest were a combination of Hothfield and Wye, both also Kent. Can you tell I’m Kentish?
All are shot on shiny Ilford FP4+ either on a rickety Yashica Mat which hates me, or my Mum’s 41 year old Yashica FX-3 with a 35mm 2.8 lens. All developing was done by AG Photographic in Birmingham, because I don’t shoot a lot of film and they’ve never let me down.
Special thanks to all who entered and ran #FP4Party. You are a bunch of talented so and so’s and you’re GIF game is on point!
So, without further ado, my 10 submissions to the party!
